You have 12 seconds to choose the best response to the question. There are normally two longer conversations in this part of the TOEFL test.

In part B your ability to understand longer conversations and passages of spoken information is measured.

Some of the conversations are MORE FORMAL because the speakers have a special relationship

Most of the conversations in part B are INFORMAL

You just have 12 seconds to choose the correct. Remember that the correct answer is THE CLOSEST IN MEANING to the statement you hear.

In this section you will hear a mini conversation between 2 people.
