Charter Of Rights And Freedoms

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms outlines two significant sections: Mobility Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Mobility Rights ensure that every Canadian citizen has the ability to enter, leave, or remain in Canada and reside in any province, provided they adhere to the local laws and practices.

At 18 I will be able to vote

If Canada goes into war then our prime minster can have a longer term more then 5 years

They can be voted out of needed

A sitting at parliament at least every 12 months
No house of common member can serve no longer than 5 years without a vote

In case of emergency or invasion they can serve longer if not voted out

Every citizen has the right to vote

Mobility Rights

I have the capability of living in any province

Following their laws and practices

I can re-enter Canada after leaving
I can choose to leave Canada if I wish
A man can choose to stay in Canada

Not being forced out

A women has the right to live/own property anywhere in Canada
Must follow laws/practices set in the province of your resident

Unless they are offensive or discriminatory

Right to have a Canadian resident in any province
Every citizen can enter, leave or remain in Canada

Legal Rights

I can go to trail if detained

Apply for bail if guilty

I can not be imprisoned or detained without an offense
If a person is proven guilty their imprisonment will depend on the offense

Bail to shorten or execute sentence

Life sentence

A detained person has the right to a trial

Will be released if not proven guilty

Are not guilty until proven

Right to not be imprisoned or detained until out of law

Varity of imprisonment times depending on offense

Can not be trailed for same offense again

Can not be denied reasonable bail

Is innocent until proven guilty

Can go to trial to combat offense

Will be released if not lawful or correct

Must be informed of why detained if they are

Right to decline being searched
Right to life, liberty and security

Can not be deprived until the justice systems states

Equality Rights

Ability to achieve goals without discriminatory set backs
Being able to have rights as a person with no religion
Being able to have the same salary as a man
Not hiring a person because of their autism
Banning a religion from a store
Not allowing a able elder to work
Lower salary due to gender
Not being able to enter a building due to race
No objection or disadvantages set for the individuals

My provinces representative would follow this right
I would not be able to use this right unless I was apart of parliament or a government
All governments must follow the charter

Including prime minister

Government that passes laws by not following the charter will face consequences

Can only make such law if the exempt it from the charter

All provinces and territory's must respect the charter and its authoritys
The charter applies to both government and parliament

General

A person can not deny me any rights
As a female I can not be denied any rights or freedoms
All 10 provinces and 3 territories have and can use the charter
The prime minister does not gain anymore power from the charter
All provinces and territory's are included
Nothing in the charter gives more power or ability to a certain party or group
Nothing in the charter is excluded from a certain party or group

Can not deny any existing rights and freedoms in the charter
The charter can not interfere with any aborigonal person or their treaties

Enforcement

If my rights are denied or interfered I can go to court to fight for them
A women who has had their rights interfered with can go to court
A man who had evidence found against him that he had not given premission to find can have it denied
Evidence in the court of law can denied if found not following the charter
Anyone's rights who have been interfered can go to court

How I Would Use It
Schools in Ontario will primarily speak English to me
In Quebec schools I could receive a English translation
Example
Ontario has more English speakers

English speaking schools will be found in Ontario

Quebec has more French speakers

French speaking schools will be found in Quebec

Definition Of Right
Schools will either be English or French depending on population of the province

Right to receive the minority language

All children can receive primary and secondary education in the language

English or French is learned via the majority population of speakers
