In Matthew 5:14-16 it says
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. I am someone who is following the principles of being a disciple of Christ because I try to be a good person and avoid doing evil things. I try to do what god has told me to do about being a peaceful and kind person. I try to follow all of the social teachings even though I cant do all of them I do try to follow some of the basic ones like Care for God’s Creation. An example of how I can follow this social teaching is picking up after myself and not littering. As disciples We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation.

Joseph was a caring man. When he discovered Mary was pregnant , he knew the child was not his, but was unaware that she was carrying the Son of God. He planned to divorce Mary according to the law, but he was concerned for her safety. He knew that women accused of adultery could be stoned to death, so he decided to divorce her quietly and not expose her to shame. When the angel came to Joseph in a dream and told him the truth about the child Mary was carrying, Joseph immediately, without question or concern took Mary as his wife.
Saint Joseph respected God. He followed God's commands when handling the situation with Mary and going to Jerusalem to have Jesus circumcised and Mary purified after Jesus' birth. We are told that he took his family to Jerusalem every year for Passover, something that could not have been easy for a working man.
Saint Joseph followed all the catholic social teachings because he believed that the core belief that every person has inherent dignity that must be respected and that All that is good in this world is a gift from God

He has followed 2 main beatitudes which were:
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God: He follows this beatitude because he puts effort not only into him self but others too They want to the lives of others better.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. : He follows this beatitude because he Makes loving decisions that is good for everyone involved, and has no intentions and self-seeking desires

A disciple is simply someone who believes in Jesus and seeks to follow him in his or her daily life. ... But being a disciple also means we want to put God's word into action by seeking to live the way Christ wants us to live — with God's help.
Saint Joseph was the earth father of Jesus Christ. He showed he was disciple because he believed in Jesus Christ and his way and believed that what Jesus was teaching was right. Even though he didn't have much quotes in the bible he was the quiet and strong type but i did find one he said and one said about him.
Saint Joseph has many fruits of the holy spirit but the two i will be talking about is kindness and faith.
We all know that saint Joseph was a man of royal lineage, yet he himself was a simple, humble carpenter.When Mary became pregnant, it must have been very hard on saint Joseph but his response is a model of kindness, consideration, compassion, and grace. At First, he thought to break their engagement loudly, but committing adultery leads to the person being stoned to death so but he did not want that happening so he kept things quiet.
Saint Joseph shows faithfulness to god because Joseph’s had his own dreams, he wanted to have a normal married life with Mary, to have his own children, but had to quickly give that away to a whole new plan. He agrees to sacrifice his own plan, his own desires, to take on the role of protecting Mary and her miracle child.Due to this In his openness and fidelity to God’s plan, Joseph is a great example of service to all Christians, and especially to all who are called to the vocation of fatherhood.

Said about saint Joseph Blessed Josemaria Escriva: St. Joseph was an ordinary sort of man on whom God relied to do great things. He did exactly what the Lord wanted him to do, in each and every event that went to make up his life.

For my saint i decided to pick Saint Joseph. He was Jesus's earth father and was married to Mary but after they got a divorce.He was born in Bethlehem and died in Nazareth, Israel. He lived from the circa 100 B.C.E.to circa 1 A.D. He died in the arms of Jesus and Mary in the Catholic tradition, he is considered the model of the pious believer who receives grace at the moment of death.
