Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD)

Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD) is a condition predominantly affecting individuals over the age of 40 due to changes in the viscosity of the vitreous humor within the eye. These changes occur at different rates in various parts of the vitreous, causing some areas to become more gel-like while others become more fluid-like.
