The connection between different people are also weaker( take discord, the main gaming chatting platform as an example, texting is usually the main way of communication, which makes people feel isolated) “Having a long friend list on social media but only a few I can actually talk to.”

Social media’s algorithms, which is to put posts onto your main screen, its main goal is to make you stick on their platform as long as possible, draining your time and attention.

conclusion: while technology itself is meant to help people, when not used correctly and with restrictions which is the major population, it can cause people feel disconnected, pressured and distracted

Apps like social media and games, as previously mentioned, are designed to keep you on the app, therefore people are spending less time doing outdoor activities which benefits mental health

The information received every day is increasing, overloading people’s attention making them hard to focus on important things.
