Between 2017-2018 Canada has invested $5 million in research towards finding a cure for CF

The symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis are more apparent over time

Children with Cystic Fibrosis are recommended to still attend school, though due to higher risk of infections, many children with CF have to skip school for spending time in the hospital, some parents choose to home school their children

Individuals with CF experience psychiatric problems such as depression, and anxiety.

Every patient with CF must undergo daily treatments. Daily treatments increases life expectancy from 10 to 37.5 years.

Patients with CF must not smoke, must wash hands often, exercise often, drinking lots of fluids, doing chest physical therapy, taking vitamins regularly.

People living with CF can attend support group meetings with other patients living with Cf so they don't feel alone, these support groups are also available for caregivers of patients for Cf

The CFF which stands for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation offers many resources for people diagnosed with CF. The CFF offers the following: - recommendations for treatments and therapies - insurance - nutrition - exercise - travel - school, education plans - college scholarships - financial aid

Children have to inherit one copy of the mutated gene from both parents in order to be diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis
