New Starters

Exploring different educational philosophies and methods, the text delves into various classroom experiences and teaching styles. One example highlights the rigorous and survival-focused Spartan education system, contrasting it with modern classrooms where the goal is to challenge students without making them feel inadequate.

Starter #16: 07/17/2018: Potential video final. The documentaries introduced by Katie Couric or Dead Poets Society. Both take education and also the world's problems in a different. It is interesting the way in which education is approacehed. It is amazing to see how i can develop my own philosophy and is anything can match with my own.

Starter #15: 07/12/2018: Spartan education. I would not survive in Spartan education. During the exercise we were required to sneak around and find our way out of the classroom. I could not find a away to get out with out be seen or felt. Survival of the fittest is essentially the way in which the Spartans taught. But it does not have to be that extreme in a classroom. Yes, it is completely normal to want to challenge your students. At the same time is it not necessary to make your students feel completely worthless and that they cannot succeed to in life and that they are doomed.

The Game of Life

This name may not be 100% accurate. But at the same time life isn't always fair. There are going to be people the come from different background and circumstances. This situations are going to make people act differently. Also people are treated differently based on what has happened to them and people just go with the status quo and do want to break it.

Should schools begin requiring students to have a eye exam?

Getting an eye exam is important for students. It can be very difficult to get an eye exam because it can become very expensive. Also teacher could possibly receive some training to just get a general basis to be able to determine whether or not a students needs glasses. Another aspect that is difficult because of the social pressure that comes with getting glasses. Some students don't want to wear their glasses because they do not want to be made of fun of.
