Negative Impacts:- China has cut down 20,000 trees in a natural zone and will make all of its snow artificially with large amounts of water and chemicals-consuming massive amounts of water in a region where Bejing is already a water scarce city-Snow machines chilled an estimated 49 million gallons of chemically treated water. In 1980, the Olympics were held in Lake Placid, New York, and now, 95 percent of ski resorts rely on fake snow in some way.

Questions I have: Is Beijing putting in efforts to reduce their carbon emissions? - Are Beijing residents concerned with water?- Is water safe to drink in Beijing?- Was Beijing lying or did they really replant the tress?
Positive Impacts: 300 million new Chinese citizens will be engaged to winter sports -Both organisations have committed to reducing their carbon emissions and reaching net zero by 2040 as part of a UN programme. -The venues will be powered by renewable energy, the bulk of the vehicles will be "fuel-efficient" and run on "clean energy," and natural carbon dioxide, rather than chemicals with high global warming potential, will be utilised for cooling. -China asserts that the majority of the trees that were cut down have been restored.

Positive Impact: -Makes thousands of job opportunities -Relatively fair pay -Closer to Europeans who must go to the United States for Disney Land and Disney World. -Had 10 million visitors annually.
Negative Impact: -Only 20,000 visitors came on the first day- Shortfall of 35 million the first staggering on to 960 million dollars -Disney reached an agreement with Saudi's prince: Al-Waleed permitting to purhcase a 25% interest and invested aprox. 500 million towards the Disney Park-Farmers and other locals protested because they wiped out their land and forced them to relocate -Local residents protested - 2 terrorist bombs went off= damaged electrical system -Due to the uniform policy and wages, staff walked out -promoting capitalism-
Questions I still Have: If it took years of planning why was there issues arisen that nobody noticed at first?- Did staff try to communicate with their employers? -Why did they demand more pay, even if it was 15% higher wages?-Why didn't employers check if their employees were suitable for the job? Why did the employees execute their anger onto children?
