Coinciden las vocales y las consonantes al final del verso.

Rima asonante

Coinciden las vocales al final del verso.

Licencias métricas
Hiato

La última sílaba de una palabra que termina en vocal y la primera que comienza por vocal no se unen.

Sinéresis

Dos vocales que van juntas pero que no son diptongo, deberían contarse separadas, pero se cuentan unidas.

Diéresis

Separación de dos vocales que deberían ir juntas porque son diptongo pero el autor quiere que se cuenten separadas para mantener la métrica.

Sinalefa

Cuando una palabra termina en vocal y la siguiente en vocal, se unen y suman sólo una.

¿Cómo se mide?

Si el acento de la última sílaba es aguda (suma una sílaba más), si es esdrújula (cuenta una sílaba menos).
