Persuasive Essays

E.g. Should college education be free for all students?
Features: It states the writer´s view point in the opening sentence. It puts forward arguments and evidence to suppor this viewpoint.
Purpose: To convince, motivate, or move readers toward a certain point of view or opinion.
Definition: It is one in which you attempt to get the reader to agree with your point of view.

Expository Essays

E.g. Explain how the invention of the printing press, changed European society in the 15th century.
Features: Factual and objective, clear purpose, Logical structure, Formal language, third person, No opinions, Realible Resources.
Purpose: To explain, describe, or inform the reader about a specific topic or subject
Definition: It shows how much you know about a topic and it is well organized and conveys the information the introduction, the body and the conclusion are perfectly structure.

Narrative Essays

E.g.: Write about an experience where you learned something about yourself.
Features: emotional language, sensory details, switch verb tense.
Purpose: To share a story, point of view, or lesson with a reader.
Definition: It is one that tells a story. This is about your personal experience what and how much you have learned of something has been new for you.

Descriptive Essays

E.g.: Describe an object that has sentimental value for you.
Features: Illustrative, figurative and precise Languages.
Purpose: To create a sensory experience for the reader by providing a detailed description of a person, place, object, event, or experience. It is to help the reader imagine, hear, see, and feel what is being described.
Definition: It is related to senses, I mean, It provides a detailed sensory description of something. It is more creative. You might describe a specific place or object. It conveys a memorable picture of what you are describing.
