In modern classrooms, technology plays a pivotal role in enhancing learning experiences. Educational apps, such as MS Word, Google Docs, and Open Office, provide platforms for creating and sharing blogs and journals.

Interactive learning Tools

Edpuzzle: This is a website where you can take a video on a topic and insert questions in the middle of the video, it is a good resource to use for comprehension about a topic.
Smart board games: There are many online sites that have educational games that can be used on a smart board, it is interactive and the students get to use the technology by themselves.
Screen recording: These can be used to record a certain part of a computer or phone screen and put into a video with audio over it to be used for instruction or explanation of a topic.

Communication Apps

Skype: This is a Microsoft one on one video chat app. It can be used for multiple purposes, it can be used to connect a classroom to someone on the other side of the world.
Google Hangouts: This is just a free group calling app, it can have up to 25 people in a call at a time.
Teams: This is a group call app where one person can share a computer screen so that everyone on the call is able to see the content

Blogs in the classroom.

Educational Apps for blogs/journals: There are multiple educational resources that can be used for this: MS word, this costs money, but it is widely used; Google Docs, this is a google service so it is free and documents can be shared with other people; and Open office, this is not used very commonly.
Journal vs. Blogs: Journals are personal topics of the persons choosing, if used in a classroom on certain entries are shown to the teacher. Blogs are on personal or assigned topics and they are given out to the public in a way that many people are going to read them.
There are multiple websites that can be used to make blogs. These could be useful but sometimes they have a cost

Collaborative Web Tools and Using Them

Google: You can share documents and have people edit them along with you in real time.
Learnist: You can share media and resources with other people on this site so you can share and gain information about a topic.
Pinterest: here you can create different boards based on a certain topic and collaborate on a board with other people.
