Two high school students, Nadya Okamoto and Vincent Forand, founded the non-profit organization PERIOD. in 2014 to address the lack of menstrual products for homeless women. The organization aims to serve, educate, and advocate for menstrual health while raising awareness and motivating youth to engage in community action.

Negative: The website page for The Homeless Period Project does not provide enough information about the organization
Negative: The organization website has not been up to date so constantly keeping up spreading awareness would bring more attention

The Homeless Period Project focuses on women who are in need of menstrual products and create kits that have feminine hygiene products such as pads or wipes.
The goal of the project is to provide women and girls with sanitary products. At the same time, educate and bring awareness to end stigma of menstruation in our society.
The organization provides not only homeless women but young girls in school who miss school because of periods.
Negative: individuals who do not take the issue serious may use the organizations as a target
Positive: Most events are collaborative with the community which brings more attention to the issue
Partner up with other organizations or have volunteers (Seniors, schools) to create packages fro homeless women and young girls who go to school
Positive: Some of the goals they have achieved are serving 1000 students each month in 41 schools, has chapters in 13 states, supplied 60,000 period packs in its first two years.

Negative: society may view it as a sexist organization because it is focused on women
Positive: A chapter in at the University of Alabama, Birmingham held fundraisers and parties to regularly distribute supplies in the community
Positive: A chapter at grant high school celebrated International Women's Day all week by giving away period products, selling diva cups and selling PERIOD swag
Positive: Able to create chapters which means to start the same organization in a different location
