take control of the Government.

"Black Shirts"

"black shirts" were men who
would walk around and target communists,
beating them up.

Also tipped off government
for communists

Benito Mussolini

Wanted to expand Italian colonies to Africa

Abandoned Socialist Party
and became a Nationalist

"Everything in the state, Nothing outside
the state, nothing against the state."

Created Fascist Party with
war veterans

Corporative System

wanted to build an Empire and
propagate Italy around the world

Glorified aggression and military sacrifice.
Felt that peace represented weakness.

Mussolini pushed laws
that guaranteed a Fascist Majority
to stay in power

Facist party controlled all elections

Controlled all political Opponents

The government controlled schools
and taught the kids fascist ideas

All the kids wore black uniforms

Government controlled the economy (prices and wages)
