Standard Form

We use standard form using this formula A*10^n.Where and n is an integer

We use standard form when we need to count and express very big or small numbers into standard form.For example,0.000 000 000 777=7.77*10^-10.

We need standard form because to manipulate and remember very big and small numbers easily.Especially for scientists and geographer.And that is why the scientist invented this standard form.

Scientist also study the length of a red blood cell,the length of a DNA.

Some geographer who studies the planet ,they will sometimes use standard form to express the distance between each planet or the distance from singapore to the sky.

When we study the distance between the sun and the earth as well as the distance between different planet.In addition,we use standard form when we study the size of an atom or the mass of an molecules.

A method to express very big and very small numbers so to easily manipulate and remember them.For instance,the distance between the earth and the sun which is 150 000 000km(very big number) as well as the mass of a dust particle which is 0.000 000 000 763kg(very small).We can express it as 1.5*10^8km and 7.63*10^10kg respectively.Or a standard form can expressed in this way A*10^n where and n is an integer.
