Cultural Loss
Globalization can homogenize (blend) cultures together, causing loss in smaller local culture (ie. their language and traditions).
Huge fast food chains are expanding to many different countries and cities. Fast fashion and big fashion brands are also popping up around different cities.
Exploitation of Workers
Globalization has led to exploitation of labour, production in third world countries where wages are significantly smaller and labour laws are minimal, to produce goods at a cheaper price.
Efficient markets
Globalization allows companies to purchase items from over seas suppliers which will result in products being cheaper for everyone also companies are able to get more products
An example of this would be how covid vaccines are being shipped out to many countries right now. Without globalization It would be super expensive and time consuming for all countries to create a vaccine, instead globalization allows us to have these vaccines efficiently.
Awareness of world events
Globalization may spread awareness about current events going on in other countries.
For example without globalization Canada and other countries would not be aware of a pandemic happening in China. This would result in more cases and deaths.
Wealth Equality
Globalization allows people to get jobs, get access to clean water, have an education and so much more.
An example of this is that with globalization we are able to have world organizations where they help people get access to all of these human needs. World organizations that do these are Action against hunger, Save the children, World vision, etc.
