Napoleon
Leader of Animal Farm after the Rebellion. He uses military force (his nine loyal attack dogs) to intimidate the other animals and consolidate his power.
Snowball
The pig who challenges Napoleon for control of Animal Farm after the Rebellion. He is intelligent and passionate. Snowball seems to win the loyalty of the other animals and cement his power.
Boxer
The carthorse whose incredible strength, dedication, and loyalty. Quick to help but rather slow-witted, Boxer shows much devotion to Animal Farm’s ideals but little ability to think about them independently.
Squealer
He was the pig who spreads Napoleon’s propaganda among the other animals.
Old Major
The prize-winning boar whose vision of a socialist utopia serves as the inspiration for the Rebellion. He dead at the beginning of the story.
Joseph Stalin
He wasn´t a good speaker, he didn't follow Marx's ideas cared for power, he killed all that opposed him.
Leon Trotsky
He was the other leader of "October Revolution, he followed Marx wanted to improve life for all in Russia. He chased away by Lenin's KGB (Lenin's secret police).

They believed Stalin because he was "Communist". Many stayed loyal after it was obvious Stalin a tyrant After that they were betrayed by Stalin who ignored and killed them.
Propaganda department
They worked for Stalin to support his image they used any lie to convince the people to follow Stalin and benefited from the fact that education was controlled.
Karl Marx
He invented Communism. His motto "workers of the world unite".
Mr. Frederick owns the neighboring farm of Pinchfield. He may be a human farmer, but he's no drunk idiot like Mr. Jones: he's "a tough, shrewd man, perpetually involved in lawsuits and with a name for driving hard bargains".
Moses plays only a small role in Animal Farm, but Orwell uses him to explore how communism exploits religion as something with which to pacify the oppressed.
The long-lived donkey who refuses to feel inspired by the Rebellion. Benjamin firmly believes that life will remain unpleasant no matter who is in charge.

He was a German politician and leader of the Nazy Party. He rose to power as Chancellor of Germany in 1933 and later Führer in 1934. During his dictatorship from 1933 to 1945, he initiated World War II in Europe by invading Poland in September 1939. He was closely involved in military operations throughout the war and was central to the perpetration of the Holocaust.
They weren't sure revolution would change anything. Realized that a crazy leader can call himself communist. They knew that communism wouldn't work with power.
