how does settlement affect the environment

water and soil pollution

water pollution is when the water gets filled or over ran with trash or waste. most of the time it comes from people dumping there trash in the water or when people come and take you tras they dump it in the water.

deforestation

deforestation is when people cut down trees to add more human made things like houses or factory's. and by doing this the trees that used to keep the carbon dioxide out are not and the world is heating up.

air pollution

air pollution is mostly in big city's like pairs, France . where carbon dioxide, that mostly comes from cars, polities the air and makes it harder to breath and can make you sick.

light pollution

light pollution is when in city's there are to many lights in skyscrapers and big buildings, so mostly birds follow the light fly into the building and die. every year about 1 billion birds die from this.

loss of habitat

loss of habaat is when animals are move or have the habait taken away from them. and then the plants and animals can not adapt to there new environment and then become endangered or ensened .

loss of arable land

loss of arable land is when soil gets over framed then theirs no more water and nutrients in it. so it drys up and blows away.
