Evaluación Primaria: Se debe valorar el estado de conciencia (comprobar si responde), y valorar la respiración (oír, ver y sentir la respiración).

PRECAUCIONES AL PRESTAR LOS PRIMEROS AUXILIOS:

• Identificar los posibles peligros en el lugar del accidente = Ubicar a la víctima en un lugar seguro si es necesario. • Comuníquese continuamente con la víctima, su familia o sus vecinos. • Afloje la ropa del accidentado. • Evite movimientos innecesarios. • Compruebe la permeabilidad de las vías aéreas, retire cuerpos extraños. • Colocar a la víctima en posición decúbito lateral. • Cubrir al accidentado para mantener la temperatura corporal. • No Obligue al lesionado a levantarse, o moverse. • No Administre medicamentos. • No dar líquidos por vía oral en personas inconscientes. • No dar licor en ningún caso. • No haga comentario sobre el estado de salud de la víctima, especialmente si esta inconsciente.
