Canadian Environmental Protection act of 1999
Contributes to sustainable development through pollution prevention, researches and provides valuable insight into the causes, nature and impacts of environment and health risks; establishes monitoring, research, and pollution prevention stations.
Nuclear Safety and Control Act
Limits the development, production and use of nuclear energy and the production, possession and use of nuclear substances; respects international control of the development, production and use of nuclear energy, including the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and nuclear explosive devices.
Fisheries Act
Conserves and protects fish and the fishes' habitat; prevents pollution into the lakes and rivers where fish are found; properly manages and controls fisheries.
Protects school and community health
The Ontario Safe Schools Act
Zero tolerance for bullying and rule breaking; increases respect and responsibility; discourages the use of alcohol and drugs; conflict is resolved with civility.
Immunization of School Pupils Act
Required immunizations for students agains possibly life threatening diseases; progressively eradicates certain illnesses; the vaccines are necessary and if not received there will be punishment.
The Accepting Schools Act (Bill 13)
Promotes a positive, accepting, and safe environment for those in the LGBTQ2A+ community; prevents inappropriate behaviour, including bullying, sexual assault, gender-based violence and incidents based on homophobia, transphobia or biphobia.
